Marvelous Thinkers Welcome
Aspen Elementary School 2018/2019
Need a simple way to motivate young readers? During IDR time, or quiet reading, encourage them to grab a "reading buddy" to read with. It will of course need some modeling and management. Model to students what reading with your buddy looks like and express the importance of changing your buddy choice so everyone can have a turn with the coveted pig. I'm thinking we'll definitely need one of these in the reading room next year.
