These wonderful kiddos completed their reading logs over the summer and celebrated with some delicious treats today! We are so proud of their hard work. Congratulations Superstars!

Who is Roald Dahl? Maybe you know him from the movie BFG? He wrote that story! Or perhaps the book James and the Giant Peach, he wrote that one too! Maybe you remember Matilda! That's his book too! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Yup, Roald Dahl. I'm not even done, Fantastic Mr. Fox is on his list of achievements too. I'd say he's got that writing bug.

We had a fun first day completing out self portraits and learning all about each other. We made mixed media portraits that express some of the things we love most. We talked about our favorite books too! The students are loooking forward to having a small space of the classroom to call their own, the art will displayed all year to welcome students into our room.
